Establish yourself as the go-to person in your field. Whatever your line of work is, you can use social media to establish (brand) yourself as the local guru or go-to person for that product or service. Use Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and your Blog to share valuable content on your topic.
Answer questions. Solve people’s problems. Give them insight. Over time you will create a visual as well as content presence in your area. People will come to you by choice for your solutions. Also, when someone gets referred to you and looks at your website or social media sites, there is already a trust factor, because they think “I know that person! I’ve seen their posts about this topic.”
